The article aims to analyse the potential of a decentralised e-commerce model to strengthen the craft sector in the province of Pichincha, promoting a more transparent and equitable commercial ecosystem that returns economic sovereignty to the creators themselves. While Web 2.0 enabled the digitisation of transactions through centralised platforms, Web 3.0 introduces a decentralised structure that promotes transparency and autonomy for producers. Emerging technologies allow artisans to ensure the authenticity of their products and eliminate intermediaries, which improves their profit margins and gives them greater control over their sales. Despite resistance and a lack of knowledge about these tools, artisans are showing interest in adopting technologies that can guarantee the safety and traceability of their products.
