Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse the occupational health and safety risks for research teachers in the field of green jobs at the Centre for Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer (CIITT) of the Catholic University of Cuenca. It was based on a descriptive approach with a non-experimental design. The results revealed extensive exposure of research teachers to occupational hazards, such as falls, cuts, blows, punctures, sun exposure, electrical contact and toxic substances. This highlights the need to implement adequate safety measures and training. Health and wellbeing issues were also identified, emphasising the importance of wellbeing programmes at work. It is concluded that there is a need to establish and enforce safety protocols at work, as well as to promote the active participation of teachers in decision-making related to their working conditions.
