Analysis of the technological and ethical challenges of telemedicine in the Republic of Ecuador [Análisis de los desafíos tecnológicos y éticos de la telemedicina en la República del Ecuador]

The article was developed under a qualitative descriptive documentary approach, which allowed for the analysis and understanding of information compiled in 12 documentary references, which were subjected to documentary content analysis with the intention of processing the information compiled into a theoretical corpus. Therefore, the objective is to carry out an analysis of the technological and ethical challenges of telemedicine in the Republic of Ecuador. In the context of technological advances in Ecuador and current ethical and legal regulations, telemedicine represents a significant opportunity to address challenges related to access to and quality of medical care, especially in remote or marginalized areas where health services are limited. By efficiently integrating technology into the health system, this modality can facilitate an equitable distribution of medical resources without the restrictions imposed by geographical barriers.
