The aim of this research was to analyse resource optimisation strategies to improve hotel profitability at the Hotel El Molino in Riobamba in 2024. To this end, the methodology employed a mixed-methods approach with a descriptive scope and a non-experimental design, supported by a Likert-scale questionnaire and direct observation applied to a census sample of 15 employees from the administrative and financial departments. The results showed high internal consistency of the instrument (α = 0.802), an overall mean of 3.33, and acceptance levels exceeding 90% for cost control and internal optimisation; shift planning achieved 80% total agreement and the analysis of technological data recorded 73.3%. The efficient management of operational, human, technological and strategic resources has a direct and positive impact on the establishment’s profitability.
