The article addressed the energy and thermal optimisation of HVAC systems in interprovincial buses; within this framework, the research objective was to analyse the energy and thermal optimisation of HVAC systems in interprovincial buses using CFD analysis. Adopting a documentary-comparative approach, national and international configurations were examined using indicators such as cooling capacity, power consumption and energy efficiency ratio. The results showed that electrified systems with intelligent control and optimised flow design improved energy efficiency and thermal distribution, reducing energy consumption per journey. Furthermore, CFD simulation enabled the identification of shortcomings in conventional systems. Consequently, computational modelling established itself as a key tool for optimising thermal comfort and operational performance.
